Emote Wall Kick Integration

RealityRipple's Home-Made Emote Wall supports Kick integration using a mix of site-emulative requests and API calls, and OAuth2-protected Event Listening powered by WebHook messages funneled through the RealityRipple Software website, through a RealityRipple Software owned dummy channel on Twitch.TV's IRC connection, to provide a temporary alternative to the proposed WebSocket connection.

Reception of these events, as provided during authentication through Kick, can be revoked at any time by visiting Kick's Extensions Connections page. Simply click the "Disconnect" button next to the "EmoteWall" entry to revoke access to your Kick account's events. The site-emulative requests are made without authentication through your broadcasting software's browser client framework. Simply remove the source from your broadcasting software to terminate all connectivity and "uninstall" the Emote Wall.

Connections between the Kick servers and the RealityRipple Software website are encrypted using the same encryption used on realityripple.com, and from there are encrypted for transmission over Twitch IRC. Only your account can decrypt the messages meant for your channel, anonymizing and encrypting all messages from analysis. Only follow events are currently transmitted over this system. AES-256-GCM is used to encrypt the specific data, and a RadioGatún32 hash of the event type (currently only following events, but for future use...) is sent as Additional Authentication Data in the AES message to prevent tampering. Your connection data is never saved to any file or database by RealityRipple Software, although it may be saved in some form using the normal Operating System swapspace of the hosting server, and may be readable by the provider. For more information about your privacy and this website's security, see the links in the navigation panel below.

Kick integration was added in v0.8, released July 8th, 2023. Events through OAuth2 added in v1.6, released November 12, 2025.
